Did you know that Windows has it’s own screenshot tool? The Snipping Tool enables you to easily capture anything on your computer screen. This can be anything currently displaying on your screen. The snipping tool allows you to capture it “free form” (draw any shape you’d like), rectangular box, or just capture the whole window.
Once you’ve snipped a bit of you screen, you can use the additional tools to highlight or draw on different parts of the image to emphasise a particular area.
This tool is great to quickly grab an image of a programme when writing instructions, or highlighting a particular area of a webpage you need someone to click on or think about.
For more help and information on the snipping tool see Microsoft’s Use snipping Tool to capture screenshots guide.
